SAGErs in 5th and 6th grade Reading/Writing took an in depth look at politics as they investigated an all-time high list of Propositions added to the AZ Election Day Ballot. On Election Day, students presented their own impressions of our state’s proposals. The class concluded that a few may have been placed strategically on the ballot to confuse issues for Arizona voters. We video-taped the presentations to view and critique ourselves later. During this project, the SAGErs reviewed the newspaper as an up-to-the-minute source of news, politics and public opinion.
