Bellair Elementary fifth grade SAGE students, proudly accepted an award for First Place in the category 5/6 Video Commercial at the 1st Annual Deer Valley Unified School District Film Festival. A screening of the winning films and projects was held at Mountain Ridge High School on May 13, 2006. The one-minute film is a parody of a popular credit card advertisement that takes a pro-active approach to academic success. Ms. Lynn Castiglione is the SAGE teacher at Bellair. SAGE is a district-wide reading and math program for 3rd-6th grade students identified as gifted learners.
