Thomas Nelson Publishers, Nashville, Tennessee	                2000 to 2007

	Successfully managed the Rutledge Hill Press division of Thomas Nelson. 
	Developed financial plans and exceeded sales goals
	Opened new sales channels for Nelson when Rutledge Hill was acquired, leading to significant sales in those new channels.
	Worked with sales and marketing to successfully execute marketing plans
	Consulted with other Nelson divisions to build a successful general market Spanish publishing program. Sold domestic subsidiary rights for general market books.

Rutledge Hill Press, Nashville, Tennessee	   1985 to 2000
president and CEO
	Co-founded Rutledge Hill Press in 1982 and grew it to a $22 million company that was twice named as one of Nashville’s “Future Fifty” companies and called a “Nashville Treasure.”
	Built management team for staff of 50 
	Built acclaimed programs of popular books on the Civil War, books on the history of quilts, cookbooks, gift books, regional books, and humor books.  
	Oversaw the creative development of award-winning covers 
	Sold domestic subsidiary rights and foreign rights in 33 languages.

	Built an industry-leading book division (Thomas Nelson previously had published primarily Bibles), growing it from $650,000 to $12.5 million by developing lines of trade books, reference books, audio tapes, romance novels, and academic books.

Created and managed a 501(c)(3) private foundation that supported projects in the areas of social and humanitarian efforts, education, evangelism, and missions.

Created and managed a 501(c)(3) public charity to support Christian missionaries in Central America.
