Nearly a year ago, 826 Angelenos packed Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church to urge public officials to support the Responsible Banking Initiative.
LA Voice leaders called on city officials to support the ordinance which would hold banks accountable to working families by using the city’s budget as leverage to encourage big banks to stop foreclosing homes and to invest in small businesses.
We need a new bottom line that puts the economic interests and financial security of working American families first.

DIVESTED
LA Voice clergy stood in front of Bank of America in downtown Los Angeles Tuesday, November 1st and shared why their congregations were divesting funds from BIG BANKS. Parish Life Director,Yolanda Brown of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hollywood stated her perspective as former bank executive alongside clergy from Muslim, Christian, Catholic, and Jewish faiths.
