Lauren Pastorek is a singer, dancer and actor based in New York City. A daughter of symphony musicians, she began her musical training on the violin at the age of three. Lauren grew up in the theatre, performing in numerous productions with the Houston Grand Opera and the HITS Unicorn Theatre Company. After a short foray into television as the host of the UPN’s “Rocket’s Kidz Jam,” Lauren concentrated on classical music. She attended the Eastman School of Music, where she served as the student body president and graduated as valedictorian. After receiving her master’s of music in opera at Cincinnati College-Conservatory she moved to New York City to pursue her first love, musical theatre. Giulietta in The Tales of Hoffmann with The Opera

This year, Lauren starred as Peggy Ashe
in the NYC workshop of The Disappearing Act,
a vaudeville musical written by Brian Henry and
John Prestianni. Just prior to that Lauren appeared
as a Follies girl in Broadway By The Year: 1921 at
Town Hall in Manhattan alongside Kate Baldwin,
Kevin Early, Jeffry Denman, Erin Davie, KendRick
Jones, Bobby Staggart and Stephen Mo Hanan.
Also in NYC, Lauren was in the original Off-Broadway cast of The Marvelous Wonderettes, where she covered and performed the roles of Missy, Cindy Lou and Suzy. Lauren has enjoyed performing frequently at New York’s City Center, in Girl Crazy with Encores!, where she had the honor to perform with Marc Kudisch, Ana Gasteyer, Wayne Knight, Chris Diamantopoulos and Becki Newton, and in productions with the New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players.
Lauren has played nearly every town, big and small, nationwide in three national tours: the Trevor Nunn/Matthew Bourne production of My Fair Lady from the National Theatre in London; the Nunn/Stroman production of Oklahoma! fresh from Broadway, and The Will Rogers Follies, starring Larry Gatlin (Betty Blake u/s). Regional productions include: Carnival! at the Kennedy Center (Rosalie u/s), Gloria in Boeing-Boeing at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina; Guenevere in Camelot, Meg Brockie in Brigadoon, and Gymnasia in ...Forum.
Discography - Lauren is featured on several recordings with the Ohio Light Opera under the Albany Records and Newport Classics labels, including Yeomen of the Guard (Phoebe), Autumn Maneuvers (Treszka), Das Dreimaderlhaus (Hedy), Utopia: Limited (Phylla), La Verbena de la Paloma (Mariquita), and A Night in Venice (Agrippina).
Lauren has been a soloist with the Cincinnati Pops, the Lebanon Symphony, the CCM Chamber Orchestra, the Eastman Philharmonic, the Definitely Dickens carolers (on “Good Morning America”), and in several New York City concert and choral venues. She can also be heard Sunday mornings in the gorgeous sanctuary of St. James Episcopal Church on the Upper East Side.
