The Mennonite Educational Institute (a private high school) had nearly 400 students singing in choirs that year. The Chamber Singers travelled to Ottawa for the Canadian National Music Festival and were awarded Gold. This piece, “Country Dances”, was arranged by Ward Swingle. Larry Nickel taught at MEI for 24 years.
