Larry habitually draws and paints, working from the world around him.   He talks about “... responding to visual patterns caused by light and shadow.   I see edges of things and how they become volumes.”  This is usually his starting point.   Larry’s most frequent subjects in the past have been urban scenes.  

 

 

Charles Burchfield, Lovis Corinth, Alberto Giacometti, Georgio Morandi, and Alice Neel are painters particularly inspiring to him.
