One of the classic cartoon series of all time, ThunderCats was
based on characters created by Tobin "Ted" Wolf. Airing origi-
nally in the United States from 1985 to 1990, the series return-
ed from 1997 to 2002 on the CARTOON NETWORK, where it
was seen around the world. The series consists of 130 episodes.
Juxtaposing science-fiction and fantasy, ThunderCats tells a
good-versus-evil tale of mythic proportions, featuring an equal
mix of high-technology and magic, combat, and a central core
of championed values. Its anthropomorphic heroes, the Thun-
derCats, are pitted against a rag-tag assortment of villains and
a demonic wizard named Mumm-Ra on the planet Third Earth.

This series, about a team of human heroes in the 29th century
who were given metal bodies and hawk wings to stop organ-
zed crime in theGalaxy of Limbo, featured many of the same
voice actors who had worked on Thundercats, including Larry
Kenney, Peter Newman, Earl Hammond, Doug Preis and Bob
McFadden.
