Aktun Chen (Caverns)

This was my visit to Atkun Chen.

Aktun Chen is Mayan for “cave with an underground river inside”. It is located 4 Km past Akumal, just 16 Km from Tulum.

At somr points we were as much as 50 feet below the surface during out guided tour through the caverns.

There was also a wildlife park on the grounds but that was not included in the tour .
