Michelle began choral singing at the age of 14 and commenced her voice training in Dorset at the age of 22.  She later went to London to further the voice, studying the Bel Canto and General Italian technique with an independent singing teacher.  She has also received training at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and Opera 80 and became a founder member of Floral Street Opera, which was formed as a training company for opera singers.

Michelle has been giving recitals and concerts across the UK since 1992, including a one-hour live broadcast on Classic FM, performances at The Winter Gardens, Bournemouth, interviews on BBC Radio, BBC Radio Guernsey, Radio Solent and Hope FM.  She has also sung as a soloist in concert, in Ireland, America, Hungary and Guernsey.

While singing in Ireland and America, Michelle performed part of her concert with Nishi Malhotra, a traditional Indian singer who is well known and highly respected in her field of music, combining Indian and classical music.

Michelle’s repertoire includes opera and operetta, sacred, classical, lieder and light music.

As well as her performing, she has worked with groups of 20 to 40 children ageing from 8 to 16, in Ireland, London and Dorset, giving workshops introducing young singers into opera and performing children's cantatas including Persephone, The Snow Wolf, The Snow Queen and Pirates of Penzance (G&S).
