Elective Courses:

Psychology -  An elective course usually offered to Juniors and Seniors.  It is a .5 credit course which studies basic psychology.


Sociology - An elective course usually offered to Juniors and Seniors.  It is a .5 credit course which studies basic sociology.


AP MacroEconomics - An Advanced Placement course which provides and advanced study of economics.  A nationally standardized course which provides college credit with a passing exam scores.


AP European History - An Advanced Placement course which studies the development and historical events of the European countries.  Students who take and pass the AP test can earn college credit.


AP United States History - An Advanced Placement course which studies the history of the United States with an emphasis on analysis of source documents and writing.  Students who take and pass the AP test can earn college credit.

World History - Typically the 10th grade Social Studies course.   It is a study of World History beginning with early cultures.

American History -  Typically taught at 11th grade, American History is the study of United States history from the Civil War to current events.

Economics - A .5 credit course taught to Seniors (most current Seniors took Economics in ninth grade).  Economics studies the various types of economies and how economics affects our lives.

Government - A .5 credit course taught to Seniors (usually ‘paired’ with Economics).  It is the study of the types of government with an emphasis on how United States government works.
