Physical Education
Graduation requirement include 1.0 credit in HOPE (Health and Physical Education) class which is typically taught to ninth graders) and .5 credit in a physical education class. Suwannee High School offers the following courses from which students can choose to meet the requirement:
Weight Training - Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced and Competitive Weight Lifting
Team Sports 1 and 2
Individual and Dual Sports 1 and 2
Recreation and Outdoor Recreation
Sports Officiating
Aerobics
Tennis - Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced
Health
HOPE - Health and Physical Education (required for students who entered ninth grade during the 2007/08 school term and after
Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries (elective course)
Driver’s Education - typically offered to tenth graders (students who complete the course are offered the ‘driving lab’ during the summer months)
