It looks like winter is behind us and we are now in mid spring and it sure feels like summer is coming up on us fast. I was really hoping for more rain. Everything is bright and green now but the grass is just starting to turn brown. It has been busy, which I guess is pretty normal in this household. Our trip to France and Spain is coming up fast and right before we leave Allan is going to celebrate his 50th birthday with a big party here. We are using Lettuce Cater again and I think it is going to be a big one to remember. We are blessed to have so many wonderful friends and it will be fun to see family and friends again.
The horses are keeping us busy and Allan’s big plan is to ride Tevis this year. I really don’t have a desire to ride 100 miles and I’m very happy doing the multidays and riding the 50 milers. We are keeping the horses fit and all our ride schedules are geared for Tevis, Both Rosie and Sassha will attempt Tevis this year, with a friend riding Rosie. I’m going to crew!
Another big commitment we made is to ride the XP2011.
That is a 2000 mile endurance ride, along the pony express trail from Missouri to California. We signed up to ride it and it will take place in 2011. I am really looking forward to that.
