Welcome Parents and Friends

I would like to welcome you and your family to our classroom website. First, I would like to share a little bit of information about myself and my family. This is my 17th year of teaching. I have been in Midlothian for 9 years. I have been married for 19 years to David Lackey and we attend the Downtown Church of Christ in Cedar Hill. We have identical twin girls in the 6th grade at Walnut Grove Middle School and two schnauzers. My passion for teaching started back in the winter of 1992 when I was employed by the Arlington ISD.  I taught 2nd grade for 9 years and then moved out here to Midlothian. I believe that teaching has been my calling since then and still is. My philosophy of education is that ALL CHILDREN can learn no matter what the circumstances. Through a parent/child and teacher relationship, students can accomplish their fullest potential. It is my privilege and honor to have your child in my classroom this 2008-09 school year.
