Founded in 1969, Shipwreck Beads' first location was an 800 square foot building on Mud Bay in Olympia, Washington called Shipwreck. Originally an antique store specializing in nautical antiques, it did not take long for beads to become the number one attraction. Shipwreck became Shipwreck Beads after it was purchased from the original owners by their children in 1987, and is still owned and operated by the same family!
Shipwreck Beads continues to amaze anyone that walks through its doors. The current showroom is over 20,000 square feet!!!!!!
Today, Shipwreck Beads has more than 3,000 styles, sizes and color options just in Seed Beads alone. Specializing in Czech Glass, we also provide beads from around the world, adding up to 45 thousand shapes styles and colors of beaded bliss.
We offer catalog sales via our 800 line, a fully comprehensive, secure, full feature website plus a truly breathtaking showroom. Our building is over 80 thousand square feet filled to the ceiling with ideas.
