Worst. President. Ever.

Presidential Historians Agree:

“The Shrub” - Chief Commander

in Mental Midgetry

In a befitting tribute to our outgoing president in the waning days of his two-term disaster in puppeteering (“Executive Marionette”), I offer you this most apropos poster brought to you by the zany folks from Mad Magazine - “Pirates of the Constitution - Head Man’s Mess”.

And what a mess it has been - the list is now legendary & extensive, notable for its endless stream of reckless, above-the-law conduct, corruption, deceit, & unbridled greed:

  1. corpulent spending, pork, cronyism, & earmarks that doubled (from $5 to 10 trillion!) the federal deficit - previously a seemingly impossible feat

  2. the lie that was, & became, Iraq

  3. deregulation of industries that collapsed under the greed rush & ethics void brought on by such deregulation

  4. wholesale stripping of federal environmental regulations

  5. energy policy developed in secret by Cheney &  oil company CEO’s

  6. repeated rejection of coordinated international efforts to attempt to tame global warming

  7. unprecedented levels of corporate welfare & tax breaks

  8. political judicial (US attorney) firings & lynchings

  9. the “Patriot Act” & related repeals of civil liberties

  10. Karl Rove (& his political outing of a CIA agent)

  11. Katrina & its aftermath

  12. notoriously secretive, dismissive, arrogant, unaccountable, & hostile treatment of the press & media

  13. alienation & bullying of international friends & allies

  14. Halliburton, Bechtel, Blackwater, et al (ie: Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc) war contract gouging & profiteering

  15. regressive tax structures that benefitted the wealthiest on the backs of the lower & middle classes

  16. Guantanamo

  17. & the list goes on, & on, & on, & on, & on... (& I mean really goes on...)

Yes, ethics were tossed out the window from Day One, & it all trickled down from the top; Goodbye ‘W’, & good riddance. You’ve looted the till, & disgraced the country here at home - & on the international stage as well - & done more damage & exhibited more incompetence & vapidity than any president before you in history. Ever. Oh, & welcome back to Texas - do you think you could find somewhere else to live out your “legacy”?

The End of an Error
