1974 – When I was born I was so surprised I didn't talk for a year and a half.
1980 – Coloring within the lines was a burden I took on to please the client.
1985 – Impressed my grade school girlfriends with my amazing t-square skills.
1990 – My teens were an encyclopedia of cliches, although, I never wore all black.
1992 – Design came natural in college where I suffered the obligatory x-acto knife wounds.
1996 – Pretended to launch my design career and my employers pretended to pay me.
1999 – Discovered the joy and pain of freelancing and how to read clients.
2003 – Survived the dot-com bubble burst and earned my chops as a serious studio designer.
