Nate Hackstock came up from Singapore to visit with us and have an amazing Thanksgiving (duck) dinner with all our Shanghai friends!

Hangpu River Cruise

Kat surprised me with an awesome mid-week adventure. She made us a yummy picnic lunch and we braved the cold to set off on a 3 hour tour on the Hangpu River which cuts through Shanghai and heads north east out towards the Pacific.

From Hong Kong we flew to the Philippines and on to a small private island occupied only by an Aman resort. After a few service hiccups (we all now how demanding the Kuperman’s can be) we had an amazing week chilling on our own little private corner of heaven.

To kick off the October break we went and visited friends in Hong Kong and stayed at the awesome W Hotel. Super fun.

Hainan 2008

We headed back down to Hainan for a quick weekend of blue skies and clear water. It was a good getaway and luckily we missed the cholera outbreak which hit a few weeks later!
