Introducing the latest collection from photographer Katy Tartakoff, chronicling the lives of men and women with breast cancer. As captured through the eyes of a woman keenly sensitive to the nuances of illness and in possession of an open and compassionate

heart, Cup Half Full celebrates life before, during and after diagnosis.

These courageous men and women wanted to feel less alone, less isolated and, remarkably, less identified with the disease. Breast cancer is part of their lives; it is not who they are. Through favorite quotes and in their own words, our participants share the humor, heartache and wisdom of the universal journey toward wholeness.

Denver Health Women’s Mobile Health Services, or “Mammovan” for short, provides breast cancer screenings to women age 40 and older who are underinsured or uninsured. The Mammovan covers the Metropolitan Denver area by providing services at Denver Health’s eight community health centers and other partner agency sites.
