June Will Be Lucky
This will be a good month. I got good news today – the condescending, overbearing VP that I have to deal with at work got another job and will be out of my hair in just a few weeks. I over-enthused when she told me. Really – you shouldn’t congratulate someone four times in a single minute – “That’s just FANTASTIC. I’m THRILLED for you.” I actually embarrassed myself.
But, I’m taking it as a sign. Things are improving. Stress can fade. The house can sell (light those candles for me, sympathetic peeps – I’d do it for you). I can enjoy my job again.
And today my hair looked great. I wore something new – and it wasn’t black and that was all good. I sat with a friend over martinis after work and that was fun. Everything is going to be all right. I’m going to be all right. And Venice is coming, just over the horizon and so much anticipated.
June is going to be a good month and the rest of the year is going to follow on course. I’m hopeful and will paddle my little boat as confidently as possible.
