My Life What’s on my mind I started playing the guitar when I was eight. My friends and I tried to form a band which didn’t get anywhere what so ever… even though that was the very band who wanted me start playing guitar. My dad, also a guitarist, taught me some basic blues techniques and scales, and gave me his first electric guitar. I still use it today. Then Matt Pierson told me about a program called BluesEd. I have been in the program for five years. Early influences include my father and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Now I listen to Sum 41, The Beatles, JRZ System, and Led Zeppelin. I also came to appreciate good blues musicians. Favorites are Stevie Ray, Kris Lager, & Joe Bonamassa. Favorite shows: opening for The Kris Lager Band at the famous, historical Zoo Bar in Lincoln & opening for national artists at the Playing with Fire Concert Series in downtown Omaha.
