My Life What’s on my mind I had an early interest in music, at the age of five I was playing the violin. One of the greatest of all musicians of all time, Mr. Stevie Ray Vaughn, influenced me to pick up the guitar and drop the classical act. After I experienced live music with the help of Terry O'Holloran, that's all I wanted to do. That's when I became the youngest member of the Omaha Blues Society. I then met Doug Backer, who helped me move on in my music career by putting together the Blues Ed program. I remember at the start it was just me and Doug Backer on stage at the park singing and playing. I was 7 or 8, I had a blast! Then Doug thought that it was time to get a kids group together and that was the birth of Blues Ed. I met Tyler and Matt at one of the clinics. We then decided to add more kids of our age in the band, and that's when I met Sarah, Pat, and Will. The next step was the band’s name which Tyler came up with - The Side Effects. I have been participating in Blues Ed for about 6 years now, at the age of 14, I still feel like I’m progressing every time I practice or perform.
