The Morning Program

Would you like your child to have summer weeks filled with Marvelous Mondays, Terrific Tuesdays, Wonderful Wednesdays, Thrilling Thursdays, and Fun Fridays?  Then join the Kindergarten summer program in our beautiful Kindergarten facilities! A thematic curriculum integrates language arts, math, science, social studies, music, and art.  Your child will begin his/her day by participating in language and math calendar activities during group time.  This will be followed by participation in learning centers that focus on beginning phonics, numbers concept development, patterns, logic, creativity, and fine motor skills.  There will also be plenty of time for outdoor play in the newly designed Kindergarten play yard.  Permeating the entire Kindergarten experience is a strong emphasis on developing social skills, problem solving, and adapting to the new routines at the Kindergarten grade level. 

Class size is small.  Early registration is recommended.  St. Matthew’s students enrolled for the regular fall Kindergarten program will receive preferred status until April 28.

The Afternoon Program

The Kindergarten Afternoon Program will give children an opportunity to participate in exciting thematic activities that include movement, drama, art, cooking, science, and music.  Students will have a rest time and enjoy literature, group games, and outdoor play.  Students will also swim in our lovely outdoor pool on Tuesdays and Thursdays, supervised by a certified instructor, the classroom teacher, and student aides.
