Borealis Kennel is located in the Yukon River community  of Galena, Alaska, and is owned and operated by the Korta family (Jon, Tanya, Dylan, Kaleb, and Kiana).  We have competed in the past two Iditarod’s., but are taking the 2009 race off to focus on other endeavors.   The Iditarod is a 1,000 mile sled dog race across the Great State of Alaska, crossing some of the toughest terrain in some of the harshest conditions imaginable.  Enjoy our website as you learn more about our kennel and the amazing dogs who add so much to our lives.
