  1.    Modified the sleeves by using short rows to create a taper under the arms
  2.    Began the first button hole higher up than in the pattern
  3.    The button holes moved a few stitches - I want the buttons be centered on the button band when the sweater is actually buttoned up
  4.     Did not pickup for the collar stitches on top of the button band
  5.     Shortened the collar depth
  6.     Did not do edging on the sleeves

Size: 12 - 14  years

  1.  Instead of following the pattern direction to cast on and knit back and forth for back shaping, I begin the pullover at the neck and joined the stitches in the round and knit down. Then, I performed the shoulder/back shaping with short rows.
  2.     Added a stomach pouch
  3.     Knitting Pure and Simple patterns seem to run rather large. Because the body and arm seem to end up very roomy.
  4.     The sweater and sleeve lengths were made longer. The sweater would fit 12 - 14 year olds. Maybe even a sixteen year old.
  5.     Cuff and body ribbing add after decreasing stitches by 20%.

  1.     A yoke sweater knit in the round
  2.     Very easy knit, but it took me nearly two years to finish because the body and one sleeve sat there waiting for me to get motivated to finish it.
