  2. BulletIs this Culture Shock we’re feeling?

If you are here, you’ve received the news that in early 2008 we are moved to Europe.    This is an amazing opportunity that we hope will be an enriching experience for our family.  This page is where we hope to share our experience with YOU, so we are glad you are reading this post, and we hope you will bookmark this page and visit frequently.

why did we do this?

The simple answer is “because of Kevin’s job,” but that’s probably not the answer you were looking for.   We are doing it because it’s a unique opportunity for the family to experience another country, and see more of the world,..... who knows when we will have this opportunity again.

how long will you be there?

We have signed on for two-and-a-half years, but we are going into it open-minded.   After the assignment is over, we may return to the States, we might extend the assignment, or we might do another two-year
assignment somewhere else in the world.

the whole family?

You bet,.... including the dog.

where do you live?

In a comfortable Dutch home in the town of Wassenaar, which is a suburb of The Hague.  It is a 5 minute bike to school, a 2 minute bike to town, and a 10 minute bike to the train station.  Hit the flickr link to see pictures of our home and the village of Wassenaar.

What’s New

Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands commonly referred to as Holland, which is the most densely populated country in Europe.   Roughly the size of New Jersey, The Netherlands is home to 16 million people,... most of them much taller than us!
