Aurora Borealis
The pictures below were captured while in flight from Alaska to Chicago in January 2005. I was right over the wing of the plane so the lights of the plane made it difficult to get a good shot (not to mention inside lights, a moving platform, etc). When I pressed the camera close to the window I bent the window and got circles in the print. The pics are not even close to the glory of the borealis....it was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen! Maybe these will at least inspire you to go....and get better pics
