Welcome to the unveiling of “Fitz Field”
St. Joseph Elementary School Honors Bob Fitzpatrick
On January 28, 2007, St. Joseph of Long Beach bestowed a high honor on Bob Fitzpatrick to thank him, and his wife Joan and family for their over five decades of magnificent service to the school and to the youth in Bob’s charge. It has named its popular athletic field “Fitz Field.” Bob was the Athletic Director for SJS from 1964 to 1976, and was Athletic Director of the CYO for 23 years from 1976 to 1999. This site is a small attempt to chronicle some of the highlights of Bob’s life so that others may understand the depth of his service.
