“Ticket Line”
6 x 6” oil on masonite

After the tour bus kicked me off in the middle of Times Square, I was in bad need of a hotel break. It was around 100 degrees by now - and a change of clothes was in order.

Then it was off to Grand Central Station, a place that indeed dazzled me. It was early evening by now, so the interior lighting was warm and even cozy - with that blue light streaming thru those large,
arched windows.

This painting depicts the weary people waiting in the ticket line, located on the main floor of the station. It is very painterly -
I love the immediate brush
strokes and daubs of color.
