“Arlington”
6 x 6” oil on masonite

A drive through Arlington National Cemetery is always both somber and breathtaking. The gravestones define the landscape - they emphasis the depth of the fields of green grass and rest cool in the shade of trees.

This view is from the Custis-Lee Mansion - far in the distance is the Jefferson Memorial, along the Tidal Basin.
