“Sardines in Oil”
5 x 5” oil on masonite

I don’t eat fish, but once in a blue moon I get a taste for
a sardine sandwich. It must be a sentimental thing because
I don’t eat fish.  I’m a little disappointed that those old-fashioned sardine cans don’t exist anymore, the kind with the key?  You would hook it on the end of the lid and roll the lid open. Still.....the insides are a beautiful thing. A blend of silvers and ochres and reds. My cats will love me
tonight.
