“The Bean”
6 x 6” oil on masonite

I finished an involved painting tonight - and thought to myself -
I'm gonna paint something happy and try something new.

So I chose Chicago's Millennium Park sculpture, commonly known as The Bean . When I was there, it made me happy.

The thing I did differently was to use a flat, wide brush and hold it about a foot away from the board. No nit-picking. Free strokes. Happy strokes.
