“Alas”
I’m really just starting with the paintings for the show in February, including this new one, which I can honestly
say is so rich in person. With these darker pieces, it’s just
impossible to get the image right. The darker areas are blended blacks with olive green, turquioses, purples - the statue is almost touchable - stuff you can’t quite see in a photo.
More to come, of course, and hopefully I’ll have time for a few little paintings this weekend.
