“Walking on Sunshine”
6 x 6” oil on masonite

I had planned to use my vacation time this week to paint - mostly to complete some larger work for two galleries. About the third day - I hit a block. A painter’s block. If there is such a thing. Mind you, I have over 7,000 photographs to look through - sometimes the more choices we have - the more overwhelming it is.  Well, I’m there. Which explains why, some nights, I don’t have a daily painting to show for. I’m in frustration-mode.

In many ways, today’s painting is a good example of what I strive for.  To take the mundane to another level. Use a color I wouldn’t initially think of - see what it does that no other color would do. More than often, these small, daily painting remind me of what I’m looking for.
