“Big Apples”
6 x 6” oil on masonite

I got an early start today - choosing a subject that was anything but men in suits and ties.  A morning of Zen.  This bowl of green apples also was the start of my third and final day in New York city. I got a call the night before, from someone at the New York Stock Exchange, saying if I could be there
at 7:30 a.m., I could shoot the photos of the trading floor. So I set four different alarm clocks and beat them all by getting up at 5 - very excited about my day. I got dressed, grabbed my gear and stood in front of the elevator forever, only to find out the damn thing was broken. Down the seven flights of stairs I went - and waited in the lobby for my ride.  Next to this lovely bowl of apples.  I love this painting - it has thick, vivid brush strokes - very rich in greens and purples.
