“Enlightenment”

I’m almost done with the big painting. It’s 30” x 30” so when I think about how long it’s taking me, I remember that’s the same as 25 small, daily paintings in one. Yikes.
Well.... this morning I needed a break. I put aside the big brushes and painted something quiet and peaceful and smaller.
My moment of Zen.
This beautiful sculpture is in the warmly lit Asian Art collection inside the Art Institute of Chicago.
