“Seal Hunt”

On this 95 degree day, I was compelled
to paint something cool.
And I wanted to see how this scene translated into a painting. It's was a lesson, a challenge to deal with values differently - how to paint less detail in the figures
because they're only lit by the water tank. It's done loose and painterly,which I really enjoy.
