“Going Dutch”
6 x 6” oil on masonite

I often find myself in the right place at the right time when it comes to observing people inside the art museums.

I have good karma.

This was one of those moments - a young lady, who looked as if she stepped out of a tulip field in Holland - steps up to examine a self-portrait of Vincent Van Gogh. A perfect moment, in my eyes.

I took a lot of time with this piece, with those sweet, small details that, I think, make it pop.
