“Tremont & School”
5 x 7” oil on masonite

I’m happy to be home - my trip to Boston was short but fruitful. I spent most of my time at the Museum of Fine Arts - what a treat to see work I’ve only admired from books or prints. There’s nothing like the real thing.

You may gather from this painting that my visit was a wet one. But visually, it was beautiful. The buildings and landscape took on a mixture of saturated umbers and siennas, taupes and greys - colors that are naturally soothing and
handsome to the eyes.

This scene was taken around 4 pm,
near the corner of Tremont and School Streets - on my trek to the closest Starbucks.
