I don't eat fish.
Except for that rare craving for a sardine sandwich, I don't eat it. Painting that can of sardines a couple of days ago - well, it made me want to paint more fish. And I am here to say it ain't easy. It's just about the hardest thing I think
I've ever tried to paint.
It is multiple layers of color - warm greys, cool greys, lavenders, greens, browns,
reds - and to get that almost-metallic sheen - so very challenging. But I love a good challenge.
