I am so happy to be back to painting.
I had company for a few days - good
company - and, although it’s always
healthy to take some time off from
working, I was itching to get back to
my paints, so much so, I completed
two today. (click here to see the
I chose this painting to end my
second day in New York, where I
remember I thought my legs wouldn’t
take another step, even though my
hotel was just one more block away.
This scene was looking down 39th
Street, from the corner of Park
Avenue, as the brutal sun was
finally sinking low in a hazy, muggy,
summer sky.
