“Little Dipper”
5 x 7” oil on masonite

Boy. I’ve had one of those
‘knock-on-wood’ weeks.
Seems like every day there
has been a lesson in
grace - starting with
a memorial service for
my good friend, then a
minor car wreck, then
watching an interview with
Michael J. Fox.  I like to
think of those moments and
events as reminders sent
from my mom and dad, from
heaven above.
Yes, I’m paying attention.

Here’s another fun painting
done as a result  of people-
watching at Millennium
Park in Chicago -
This boy was one of, what
seemed like, hundreds
of kids cooling off at the Crown
Fountain on a hot, summer
day. He's standing in front of one of two 50 foot towers, made up of glass blocks - and during the summer months, water shoots out of the center and streams down like a waterfall from the top, (here - check out the website.) On a hot day, it's a happy, bustling place for a lot of Chicagoans.
