Karen Jo Shapiro (KJ) has had a lifelong passion for writing poetry and silly parodies. A graduate of Colby College with B.A.’s in English and Spanish, she enjoys poking fun at the seriousness of the classic poets while honoring their enduring talents. Karen Jo is also a psychologist in private practice, and is on the adjunct faculty at the Center for Creative Leadership. She lives with her husband Steven, daughter Elina, and son David in Greensboro, NC.
