Karen Jo Shapiro (KJ) has had a lifelong passion for writing poetry and silly parodies. A graduate of Colby College with B.A.’s in English and Spanish, she enjoys poking fun at the seriousness of the classic poets while honoring their enduring talents. Karen Jo is also a psychologist with a private practice, Your Next Steps Coaching, and is on the adjunct faculty at the Center for Creative Leadership. She lives with her husband Steven, daughter Elina, and son David in Greensboro, NC.
