About the DEP Program
These educators will receive a technology toolkit of different new tools that they will be able to use in their classrooms. They will also receive 4 days of training from the district. As a new Digital Educator, they will continue to serve on SRE’s technology team and will be leaders sharing with their teammates ideas and enthusiasm for using technology to change the way they teach and student’s learn in the classrooms!
CONGRATULATIONS! Please read the following quote from the district in regards to the Digital Educator Program. Since there are only 32 educators selected from the entire district - We are so lucky to have these 6 fabulous educators at SRE!
"The 2006-2007 Digital Educator Program (DEP) will award thirty-two (32) educators with toolkits that will be used to transition teaching and learning in a traditional classroom to teaching and learning in a digital environment. In addition to the 32 Digital Educators selected, every Douglas County school is eligible to select one teacher to work with a DEP mentor in this program. The Digital Educators will effectively integrate instructional technology, enhancing 21st century student learning."
