To the right is a nearly ideal bar path:

The bar stays in off the floor, not pushed out to go around the knees. -
The bar stays close when moving past the knees. It is not being swung out when the lifter pulls. -
The bar lands in the proper position overhead. It is not too far forward or too far backward. -
Please compare your lifts to this model and some of the examples below (Coach Overkamp and Olympian Pete Kelley). If your bar path does not match, try to think of reasons why.
