Kirk V. Hughes (Scenic Designer) Kirk V. Hughes has worked extensively as a Scenic Designer and Artist at The Pinkerton, G&L, Historic Asolo, Gompertz, Keating, Weitzenhoffer, and Cook Theatre for The Banyan Theatre Company, The Asolo Repertory Theatre, The Sarasota Players, Community School of Naples, Florida Studio Theatre, University Theatre at OU, and TheatreZone in Naples where he serves as resident designer. Favorite shows include: “Fat Pig,” “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” “Tommy,” “I Am My Own Wife,” “Jekyll & Hyde,” “Stepping Out” (w/Donna McKechnie), “Golda’s Balcony,” “The Lieutenant of Inishmore,” “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” “The Good Body,” and “The Tempest.” Kirk utilizes the latest in computer programming (like VectorWorks 2010 and Adobe Creative Suite), generating renderings and construction drawings in order to execute the overall vision with precision while making sure everyone involved in the project has clear visuals of the design.
