DeTomaso Pantera GT5S

This is a Pantera GT5S which Detomaso starting building around the 1984. I ordered one of these in late 1984 for delivery in 1985, but it never showed up. I cancelled the order when I visited the factory and found out it would be delayed by several months.

The car was supposed to be a light metallic blue with a tan leather interior. The serial number was supposed to be 9390.

Years later, I actually did some work on 9390 and I got to know it extremely well. But the car was white. Based on some more research, the blue GT5S was a later serial number.

Greg Denton in California owned 9390 first and had lots of problems with it. He wrote a letter to Pantera International describing his nightmare several years ago.

9390 is now owned by a friend in Colorado.

I know, I know.... I should have waited...
