Who is this guy?

After living and working overseas for 27 years for Schlumberger Wireline, I moved on and started for WellDynamics.
I just spent 5 years working in Brunei for Brunei Shell as a consultant for smartwell completions and smartfield implementation and am now back in the USA.

My hobbies are Macintosh computers, my 1971 Pantera and a recently acquired GT40.

Some history.....

I graduated from Kansas State University in December 1973 with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
I then joined Schlumberger Overseas in Paris in February 1974, went to the Schlumberger Wireline Training Center in Delft, Holland (NTC) and spent some time at the training center in Pau, France also.

Field training was done in Great Yarmouth, England and Cork, Ireland; both offshore locations.

Since I like cars, here's some pictures of cars I've owned in the past.

My first car was a 1957 Ford Custom 300 with a 6 cylinder automatic.
My Dad gave it to me... it was the only new car he ever bought.
It got totaled in an accident when my brother and I were headed home after a basketball game.
This picture is not the actual car, but it is the same color and body style.

But this is the car!

This black and white picture was taken when the car was new in 1957, just as we were leaving my aunt’s house in Wisconsin.
That’s me on the left, brother Larry, Mom, brother Monte and Dad.

The next car was a real pig... 1959 Ford, 4 door with a 332ci automatic. We won’t talk much about it...

Then, a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 2 dr 'fastback'. 390ci with a 4 speed.

Long story about this car.
My first engine rebuild, my first transmission rebuild, 3 2bbl manifold and carbs, 0.060 over, too much compression, too much cam, etc. etc.
After this picture was taken, it had a Corvette style hoodscoop, jacked up in the back with L50 tires and chrome reverse rims.
Cragar mags on the front... You know... a typical late 60's high school kid's car!

I had a Fiat X1/9 for awhile in Scotland.

I had motorcycles for awhile. A Kawasak 900 Z1B (broke a leg and a shoulder riding it)
A Moto Guzzi 850 LeMans Mk1

Picture of the 1976 Moto Guzzi Lemans Mark I. I sold it back in 1998.
