Students in the fifth grade enter the BET program with the first course: Introduction to Computers. Sixth and seventh graders further their computer learning with MC Tech (Multimedia Computer Technologies). The BET program culminates in the eighth grade with two courses broken into two semesters. The first course is an Introduction to Engineering course and in the second semester, eighth graders take a financial literacy course called Young Entrepreneurs. The Design Center also provides an Advanced MC Tech course during Language Academy for students interested in video production, computer programming, and 3D design. Teachers and staff members at KIPP Adelante also take a year round technology professional development course (TEKA) in the Design Center.
